At Debbie Taussig Law, we’re passionate about helping others—whether they walk on two legs or four. So, when Debbie and her husband, Dave, had the chance to rescue a beautiful but untrained husky from New Mexico, they couldn’t say no. Max, the second of their four rescued huskies, has become a beloved member of our family.

The Challenges of Max’s Early Days

When Max first arrived from Jailbreak Husky, he was a bit of a wild spirit. At five or six years old, he wasn’t housebroken or leash-trained. It was clear he had lived a tough life without much structure. Despite these challenges, Debbie and Dave knew Max was a great dog who just needed a little help and a lot of love.

Patience and Persistence Pay Off

The early days with Max weren’t easy. He didn’t know house rules, and accidents were common. Walking on a leash felt more like a game of tug-of-war. But Debbie and Dave were determined to help him. With patience, training, and a lot of love, Max slowly started to understand.

The first milestone came when Max became housebroken. He quickly learned how to let Debbie and Dave know when it was time to go outside, and just like that, he was trained.

Leash training, though, was another hurdle. Like many untrained dogs, Max didn’t know how to walk calmly at someone’s side. But through consistent practice and positive reinforcement, he made incredible progress. Walks became a source of joy—for both him and his humans.

Max’s Transformation: A True Success Story

Today, Max is fully housebroken, walks proudly on a leash, and has become an important part of our team at Debbie Taussig Law. His transformation is a powerful reminder that, with patience and persistence, anyone can overcome challenges—whether those challenges are injuries from a crash or fighting a massive insurance company.

Max’s Impact at Debbie Taussig Law

Max isn’t just a part of Debbie and Dave’s family—he’s become a mascot of sorts for the entire firm. Max is the happiest dog, always wearing a “smile” on his face, reminding us of the importance of compassion and commitment. He’s a constant reminder of why we fight for those who can’t fight for themselves.

At Debbie Taussig Law, we believe in standing up for those who are injured, overwhelmed, and unsure of what to do next. Max’s journey from an untrained dog in New Mexico to a well-mannered office companion shows us that no challenge is too big when you have the right support. Here’s to many more walks with Max—and to helping others, both two-legged and four-legged, heal and protect their future.
